First

On Sunday our Pastor said, "It is always easy to start something, but finishing that something is the difficult part." This is true in so much of life, and I wonder how it will playout in our new "first." Today Jade started Preschool. It was her FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. What a day we had. Let me say that we spent the day before practicing how to open and close her new backpack, Cinderella backpack, and how to eat from her new lunch box, Cinderella lunch box. (I now realize the practice was for me, she had no trouble at all!)

Then this morning we put her new dress on, did her hair in "braves" or braids, ate a big bowl of oatmeal and we were off. I say we because Brad took the day off work to work the video camera as I handled the baby and the digital camera.

Once inside her classroom, it did not take long to realize that she was much more ready for Preschool than her parents. We decided to say a prayer next to the cubbie corner, her room is the bear room and they have a cubbie reading corner-isn't that precious???. Her Prince (that's what she calls her daddy most of the time) couldn't finish the prayer because a lump seemed to form in his throat. As we were both about to loose it, she exclaimed, "They have doctor stuff,--my favorite!!!" How can you cry when they have her fav.???

So off we went to the gym, a great way to deal with overwhelming feelings, as our precious three year old enjoyed her first day of school.

Maybe firsts aren't always that easy, Tim.

Thanks for listening to all the details which are usually absent from my emails, this one was for the fam.

P.S. I have tried several times to post pictures of everything I have described, but I'm having no luck, I can only get these two to show up. I'll try later, when the sun is up!
